  • Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint has quickly become my new favorite spot in Roanoke. The vibe is always on point - the staff are welcoming, friendly, and genuinely attentive every time I come in. They’ve got a great selection of beers and drinks, with something new to try each visit. The burgers never miss, the sweet potato fries are perfect, and that white bottle aioli is next level. Can’t recommend this place enough.

  • Very nice place and vibes! Loved the burger! It doesn’t come with fries, you would have to order it as a side. Despite being a busy place, we got a seat at the bar in a very short time. A hole in the wall in Roanoke, VA. Highly recommended!

  • This was such a cool place to find downtown! It's got a very cool "hole in the wall" vibe. The burger was awesome. It was "smaller" than I expected but still very good! I definitely will get the "double patty" next time. Amy was my waitress and she was great! Very friendly and helpful! Check this place out if you're ever in Roanoke and want a solid burger!

  • The burgers here were the best. I came back two different times on my visit to the Roanoke area. I had two different burgers, with the one with the fried egg being my favorite out of the two. I just got the burgers both times without a side since that was sufficient enough for me. Burgers were portioned well although a side could go along nicely if that’s something you want. Atmosphere is dive bar type feels. Relaxed very casual come in flip flops and socks if you wish no one will care….

  • These are some really good burgers! Freshly made to order, juicy patties, soft buns, and creative toppings. I feel like fries should be included, but they’ll run you an extra $4. The beers are also a little up there, starting at $7 if you’re not getting one of the “lites.” Cool little bar spot that I’d definitely check out again.

  • If you like burgers, do yourself a favor and give it a try. Their wagyu beef burgers are easily the best in downtown Roanoke, and I'm especially particular when it comes to meat quality. The price is more than fair for what you get. Staff is friendly, good vibes. The only downside is it's a bit cramped inside there, but even that has its own charm and could be considered cozy. Highly recommended. Don't bother spending twice as much (or way more) at another place claiming to have some fancy burger. This is it.

  • I had a great experience at Jack Brown’s. I was told it was tight inside, but when I walked in I was like maybe I should come back. I am so glad I stayed. It was tight but it was worth all the “excuse me”s to find a seat. I was helped as soon as I sat down. I ordered the cowboy burger with added caramelized onions and sweet potato fries. The burger was so juicy and good and I could’ve eaten a bowl full of these onions… perfection!!!! The fried Oreos were the perfect way to top that meal off. I got 2 but after I ate them I wanted 2 more.

  • I’ve been to several cities with a Jack Browns, but never went… until today when I stopped in for lunch. It’s a dive bar which seems to specialize in beer with burgers being the food they offer. Their food choices are literally limited to burgers and fries (and fried Oreos for dessert). They do have an impressive list of burgers though, the toppings are unique and fun. I tried their Shocker burger, but got the habaneros on the side and whoa… it was really good, tasty, and plenty spicy without those habaneros! Loved the bun and the sauce too. The crinkle cut fries that came with it were crispy and excellent too! Service was decent… Would definitely return!
